While traveling approximately 55 mph on the highway, the driver in front of me appeared to become impatient with my speed and abruptly got in front of me and suddenly applied his brakes, brake-checking me. The driver appeared to be traveling at a higher rate of speed and seemed to be in a hurry. I was forced to brake suddenly to avoid a collision, causing an elderly woman driving behind me to nearly collide with the rear of my vehicle. I am submitting this report to document the incident and the potential safety risk posed to other motorists.
